  • Art Criticism

Art is a result of human creativity which has some perceived quality beyond its usefulness, usually on the basis of aesthetic value or emotional impact.
    ~ Wikipedia

Such a broad topic; Art, that it could have dozens of categories and subcategories. Anyone can be an Art Critic and probably everyone is, to some degree or another.

  • Social Footprint

I like this new term “carbon footprint” and the idea it promotes that each of us on the planet has a responsibility to reduce the amount of natural resources we consume because our consumption is proportional to the rate of global warming, hence our own carbon foot print. This notion means that every person can do something about the problem, aside from pointing the finger at governments and corporations.
Next we need to raise people’s conscience about the social condition of our planet.

  • Money Maker

Money makes the world go around…
The sound of an ATM machine as it counts stacks of notes to mechanically push through the slot of a machine. The feeling of stuffing a stack of fresh cash into the wallet, or the joyous feeling of logging onto your bank account from an online computer and seeing that a deposit or wire transfer has increased the available balance. These things can change a bad mood.

  • Health & Happiness

It seems incorrect to wish someone a “Happy New Year” (perhaps a happy new year’s eve). However, I think it’s unrealistic to be happy for an entire year. We should wish someone a “Healthy New Year”, now that’s realistic and would certainly make anyone happy.

  • Art of Life

    Life doesn’t imitate art,
    Life is Art.

  • Pursuit of Hapiness

A new pen, new journal, new website, new year and a new start = Renovati? (Latin for rebirth). Actually this is just a renewed effort at using pen & paper to make something of significance from my weblog on Silicon Palms and the website explaining my ideas.

  • Strategic Thinking

I read the Internet Business Manifesto and was profoundly effected by it’s content. For many years I’ve been reading self-help literature and various books and courses about “How to become Successful in Business” etc… but never before had I laid my hands on something this powerful. In the manifesto there lies such pertinent information related to starting and growing an Internet business that if you’re like me, with tons of practical experience, as soon as you absorb the information in the manifesto it becomes actionable knowledge.

  • Time Management

Monday’s turn to Friday’s and time never stops marching forward. Time is such a valuable commodity and one so easily squandered, especially if you work alone, as an entrepreneur and small business owner. Every day I spend a certain amount of time cleaning my inbox of junk mail and attempting to save time by setting filters for the email I do want to save and at the same time attempting to set Eudora (my email program) junk filters to do a better job of automatically trashing the spam. Eudora has a utility called “statistics” which provides an accounting of the use of the software. Today set a new record with 2111 messages received (so far) and over 5 hours using the software to manage, read and compose messages.

  • Discipline and Consistency

If discipline and consistency are maintained over a sustained period of time towards a fixed objective, then it stands to reason that a favorable desired outcome would result. Probably one of the hardest things in life is to remain consistent about the things that bring affluence and yet not to lose sight of the day-to-day enjoyment of life and the people in it. There needs to be discipline to keep a good balance but get the work done every day, even when all the things around are extremely distracting. Progress must be made.
