  • Winning Streak History

    I can still remember
    the day I registered WinningStreak.com
back in 1995, I was living in South Florida at the time and there was an
article in the Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel about a new proposed gambling ship
to be docked at the famous Bahia Mar, the article went on to say that the name
of the boat was the “Winning Streak”. At that time I was involved in
developing one of the first on-line Sportsbooks and we had just installed an
on-line Casino on a server system in Curacao but late at night, about 2:30am in
the morning, I awoke and wondered if the Domain name was available, sprang out
of bed and logged on to the Internet to find out. Imagine that? Winning Streak
was available, so I registered it. The gaming ship project sank.

  • Back on a Winning Streak

Finally feel a burst of new energy and have some encouragement recently from a few enquirers about hiring Winning Streak to do some Internet marketing for on-line gaming companies, or i-Gaming as it’s known. Online gaming has always been one of my favorite industries, so I couldn’t resist getting back to work on one of my oldest websites.

Currently Winning Streak has an Alexa rank of 1,868,122 with about 40 unique visitors per day. At one time this site was very busy with 1,000 visitors on a low-traffic day and it generated significant affiliate revenue. Now begins the challenge to see how fast I can get the traffic back to where it once was, then go beyond that level to get back on a winning streak.

  • Casino Beach

Casino BeachEver since the day I registered this Domain I’ve been dreaming of developing a true “Live” Casino that integrated my 2 favorite things, beaches and casinos. Just like the old IBM commercial “where are the flying cars? we were supposed to already have flying cars….” I feel the same way about the convergence of media and online gambling, it’s just not completely there yet, at least not the way I envision it, which is to create a virtual reality integrated with real reality. My day will come… meanwhile, checkout CasinoBeach.com

  • Conflict of Conscience

I hand-coded and published my first HTML web page in 1993, ever since then my thinking about what I should be doing with my web-publishing passion, has vacillated between projects for helping disadvantage children in third-world countries, or providing information and services to help wealthy North Americans invest offshore.

Living in South Florida at that time, every day we watched images, or in one case I eye-witnessed, Haitian families coming ashore in home-made rafts because they were so desperate to escape the poverty of their Island Nation. It prompted me to start-up “PC on Earth” a non-profit organization that would find ways to get information technology to schools in the Caribbean.

  • The End

An interesting name for a story, as it compels the reader to read more and begs the question; end of what? I wish it were the end of the war or anything more than just the end of August, alas there’s more; I’ve reached the end of my silence not the end of reason and decided to commence publishing articles again. Back in June when I stopped writing for the Silicon Palms Blog I made a decision that I’d wait until I found some clarity about my business before I started publishing again. See, I was conflicted by the blur of the lines between my life and my career and what was the meaning of either.

  • Perfect Timing

Now that it’s a blue moon I’ve run out of excuses for not writing more often, especially since both business and personal life have been very exciting and rewarding. It’s now time to step-up my efforts towards gaining more momentum.Jack Sparrow

  • World Economic Forum

Davos Switzerland is famous for ground breaking advancements in social programs. Each year technology has become more and more center stage at the schmooze fest for global titans, although this year Iraq was also high on the agenda.
Last night I watched a special on CNN live from Davos, hosted by Becky Anderson, called “Our Networked World” with a live audience who each had a wireless device to provide polling to questions asked during the discussion. The panel was a good mix of industry experts and the topic was Web 2.0.

  • Casino-on-Net

Rumor has it that Ladbrokes of London are in discussion to purchase 888.com for about the same number of millions of dollars (888). How fitting that the largest global gaming company buys the largest online casino, just as I predicted they would do, after they divested themselves of the U.S. Hilton Hotel franchise.

  • Nothing Ventured….

    …nothing gained.
I needed to sign up to another MLM program as much as I need another hole in my head but having received a message from an old trusted friend named Julio, describing a very simple program, that was conceived and launched by a mutual friend, who lays claim to having made fortunes and set records in Network Marketing (verifiable). Plus, the product was something I actually needed, so I joined and became the 1,777th member, 17 days from launch.

  • Winning Streak Players Club

At long last, a major breakthrough on the Winning Streak project to create a Loyalty Reward Network for the online gaming industry is about to happen. There’s nothing online that can compare to the Winning Streak Players Club.
