    Silicon Forest for Economic Summit

Silicon Forest was the perfect place to host an Economic Summit

It’s an amazing thing that happened, I didn’t see coming but the end result is a new collaboration with a 8 year bimonthly meetup into an established website Silicon Forest

Since 2012 a bi-monthly meetup for “appys and beer” has been held in Vancouver, to host friendly debate and exchange ideas. An agenda is available and members are invited to speak their minds and exercise free speech, in a casual atmosphere with polite decorum.

We respectfully allow all participants to share viewpoints, on the topics outlined in the articles and videos selected by the founder from the submission of members. The informal nature of the discourse enables a “speed debate”

HOW TO SPEED DEBATE – “CUT TO THE CHASE”

    What is Speed Debating?

A debate is a structured argument.  Two sides speak alternately for and against a particular contention usually based on a topical issue.  Unlike the arguments you might have with your family or friends however, each person is allocated a time they are allowed to speak for and any interjections are carefully controlled.

    Why speed debate?

It is an excellent way of improving speaking skills and is particularly helpful in providing experience in developing a convincing argument. Those of you who are forced to argue against your natural point of view realize that arguments, like coins, always have at least two sides.

    The Basic Speed Debating Skills

    Style

Style is the manner in which you communicate your arguments.  This is the most basic part of debating to master.  Content and strategy are worth little unless you deliver your material in a confident and persuasive way.

    Speed

It is vital to talk at a pace which is fast enough to sound intelligent and allow you time to say what you want, but slow enough to be easily understood.

    Tone

Varying tone is what makes you sound interesting.  Listening to one tone for an entire presentation is boring.

    Volume

Speaking quite loudly is sometimes a necessity, but it is by no means necessary to shout through every debate regardless of context.  There is absolutely no need speak any more loudly than the volume at which everyone in the room can comfortably hear you.  Shouting does not win debates.  Speaking too quietly is clearly disastrous since no one will be able to hear you.

    Clarity

The ability to concisely and clearly express complex issues is what debating is all about.  The main reason people begin to sound unclear is usually because they lose the “stream of thought” which is keeping them going. It is also important to keep it simple. While long words may make you sound clever, they may also make you incomprehensible.

    Content

Content is what you actually say in the debate. The arguments used to develop your own side’s case and rebut the opposite side’s. The information on content provided below is a general overview of what will be expected when you debate. The final logistics of how long you will be debating, how many people will be in your group, and how the debate will unfold (ie: which team speaks first etc.), will all be decided by the group.

    Case (argument)- the whole

Introduction – The case your group is making must be outlined in the introduction.  This involves stating your main arguments and explaining the general thrust of your case.  This must be done briefly since the most important thing is to get on and actually argue it. It is also a good idea to indicate the aspects of the subject to be discussed by each of the team members.

Conclusion – At the end, once everyone has spoken, it is useful to briefly summarize what your group has said and why.

    Case (argument)- the parts

Having outlined the whole of your argument, you must then begin to build a case (the parts).  The best way to do this is to divide your case into between two and four arguments (or divide your case based on the number of people in your group).  You must justify your arguments with basic logic, worked examples, statistics, and quotes.  Debating is all about the strategy of “proof”. Proof, or evidence, supporting your assertion is what makes it an argument. There are a number of ways of dividing up cases according to groups of arguments (eg political/economic/social or moral/practical or international/regional etc.) or just according to individual arguments if you can’t group any together.  Under each of these basic headings you should then explain the reasoning behind the argument and justify it using the methods outlined above.  It is usually best to put the most important arguments first.  Here is an example of a case outline:

“The media exert more influence over what people think than the government does.  This is true for three reasons.  Firstly, most people base their votes on what they see and hear in the media. Secondly, the media can set the political agenda between elections by deciding what issues to report and in how much detail.  Thirdly, the media have successfully demonized politicians over the last ten years so that now people are more likely to believe journalists than politicians.”

All of the arguments in this case outline are debatable (almost immediately you can see the counter-arguments), but they give the case a wide range which cover all kinds of issues.  The trick is not to come up with a watertight case, but a well argued one.  Think: “Can I argue that?”

    Rebuttal – the parts

Arguments can be factually, morally or logically flawed. They may be misinterpretations or they may also be unimportant or irrelevant.  A team may also contradict one another or fail to complete the tasks they set themselves.  These are the basics of rebuttal and almost every argument can be found wanting in at least one of these respects.  Here are a few examples:

    1.   “Compulsory euthanasia at age 70 would save the country money in pensions and healthcare.”  This is true, but is morally flawed.

    2.  “Banning cigarette product placement in films will cause more young people to smoke because it will make smoking more mysterious and taboo.”  This is logically flawed, the ban would be more likely to stop the steady stream of images which make smoking seem attractive and glamorous and actually reduce the number of young people smoking.

    3.   “My partner will then look at the economic issues…”  “Blah..blah..blah…(5 minutes later and still no mention of the economic issues)”  This is a clear failure to explain a major part of the case and attention should be drawn to it.  Even better is when a speaker starts with, “to win this debate there are three things I must do…”.  If the speaker fails to do any of those things you can then hang her or him by the noose by repeating their exact words – by his or her own admission he or she cannot have won the debate.

    Rebuttal – the whole:

It is very important to have a good perspective of the debate and to identify what the key arguments are.  It isn’t enough to rebut a few random arguments here and there.  Of course the techniques used above are invaluable but they must be used appropriately.  There are a number of things you should do to systematically break down a team’s case:

    1.  Ask yourself how the other side have approached the case. Is their methodology flawed?

    2.  Consider what tasks the other side set themselves (if any) and whether they have in fact addressed these.

    3.  Consider what the general emphasis of the case is and what assumptions it makes. Try to refute these.

    4.  Take the main arguments and do the same thing.  It is not worth repeating a point of rebuttal that has been used by someone else already, but you can refer to it to show that the argument has not stood up.  It is not necessary to correct every example used.  You won’t have time and your aim is to show the other side’s case to be flawed in the key areas.

  • Ark of the Covenant Restored by Lambs Bread

Ark of the Covenant Restored by Lambs Bread

Tigray Province of Ethiopia is where the Ark of the Covenant is stored in the Chapel of St Mary of Zion. A former scholar from Britain had been a professor in Ethiopia examined the remains of the fabled sacred object as a mere rustic wooden artifact, appeared to be the remains of an old box.

    Ark of the Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant is a powerful instrument that may contain the salvation of humanity, if it were restored and re-enacted. The shear feat of cooperation it would take to recover and restore this powerful device, to it’s peak performance, requires an act of God or Bob Marley Peace.

Financial resources sufficient to hire Graham Hancock to consult on how to recover and restore the Ark of the Covenant, plus the estimated cost for about a metric ton of pure gold. Our plan is to grow high grade lambs bread to create the wealth to bankroll the operation.

Lambs Bread is landrace strain of cannabis from Jamaica. By definition, a landrace is a variety of cannabis that has been grown in and adapted to the environment of its native land. The unique alterations of these strains are caused by its environment and isolation from other populations of species. Names typically come from the native region to the strain.

Landrace strains are cannabis cultivars that have never been crossed by breeders, evolving stable genetics over centuries of natural selection and long-term exposure to their home environment. Cannabis is a highly adaptable plant and as generations of mankind spread throughout the world, so too did cannabis, becoming a “native” of numerous regions in the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia.

Where do landrace strains come from?

Cannabis is one of the oldest crops in history. The plant was first referenced in historical documents in 2900 B.C. by the Chinese emperor Shen-Nung. Known as the Father of Chinese Medicine, Shen wrote of cannabis in his encyclopedia of plant medicines called the Pen Ts’ao. Further archaeological evidence of hemp rope imprints on broken pottery indicates cannabis was already in use during the Neolithic period in China, about 10,000 B.C.

Stone Town Genetics is a project with a plan to harness the economic power of cannabis by creating an African Cannabis Seed Bank, plus all the scientific genetic profiles to breed superior cannabis strains by having the control of the Lambs Bread strain by breeders rights arbitration.

Rastafari, Ark of the Covenant and the Book of Enoch

The plan is to allocate proceeds from Lambs Bread Cannabis seeds towards the cause of Bob Marley Peace and to save the Ark of the Covenant. By word of mouth marketing, we will begin to develop a global brand of cannabis for the Bob Marley Peace Seekers. We forward in this generation, triumphantly.

    Sweet Sorghum for Organic Farming

Sweet sorghum is any of the many varieties of the sorghum grass whose stalks have a high sugar content. Sweet sorghum thrives better under drier and warmer conditions than many other crops and is grown primarily for forage, silage, and syrup production.

Sweet sorghum syrup is known as “sorghum molasses” in some regions of the United States, though in most of the U.S. the term molasses refers to a sweet syrupy byproduct of sugarcane or sugar beet sugar extraction

By the early 1900s, the U.S. produced 20 million US gallons (76,000 m3) of sweet sorghum syrup annually. Making syrup from sorghum (as from sugar cane) is heavily labor-intensive. Following World War II, with the declining availability of farm labor, sorghum syrup production fell drastically. Currently, less than 1 million US gallons (3,800 m3) are produced annually in the U.S.

In Central India it was introduced in the early 1970s by Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute.[5][6] Presently it is grown on large area as a fodder crop.

Most sorghum grown for syrup production is grown in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

    Future Products Potential

    • More bio-electric energy production

  • Speed-debating in the Digital Age

    Speed-debating in the Digital Age

    Bubenreuth, Deutschland
    Urban street art

An original thought is just old ideas added together, in this case to create Speed-Debating, which made me laugh when I first thought of it. Probably been thought of and joked about but it’s invented now because we needed a new format to host a debate, where as many people as possible had a chance to meet a topic with their own rhetoric.

Maybe I’m the first to suggest that we’ve left the Information Age and moved into the Digital Age but again it’s most likely out-there somewhere in existence, as I seem to contrive things that other people also thought of. My hope is that we are collectively conscious and growing more so rapidly from the information. The Digital Age is the next step into the Internet of Things (IoT).

Speed-debating is planned for every second Thursday at a Pub in downtown Vancouver. The topic is Digital Currency, Privacy, Security and Self-sovereign ID. The debate question; which is more secure, central bank controlled cash money or crypto? Who can we trust; Big Gov, Big Tech, Banks or cash, bullets and bunkers?

Speed-debate is followed by an “Open Mike for Elevator Pitch” of business start-up presentations – 10 minute max, followed by feedback from Angel Investor panel and the debate moderators, plus audience. Open source event is free to registered members.

The Speed-Debating event works where each participant has very few minutes to nail down some facts, then pass the talking stick. Same debate rules apply as regular debate just modified format to accommodate more opinion and rhetoric, as well as those nasty little things called facts. Bring your facts and come one, come all.

As soon as the first event has been booked, we’ll post the address and more details here.

  • Cup Royale Race Around the World

Cup Royale Race Around the World

Ralph Brown and his brother Bob

As you may already know, the TV audience for boat racing is huge on the global market. However, it is not structured to make money like NASCAR or Formula One. Cup Royale was created to structure and capture a portion of that very large global boat racing market.

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers the Volvo Ocean Race had a 1.7 billion cumulative global TV audience in 2014 and 2.2 billion in 2017, with 457 million direct viewers. That is not individual viewers it is cumulative. It is still huge, much bigger than NASCAR. For comparison sake, if you combined all 92 NASCAR races, not just the stock car races, but all of the races including the Sprint Series and the Truck Series, too, the Volvo Ocean Race is still much bigger because it is global. NASCAR’s combined total TV audience is about 300 million. NASCAR is worth $5 billion and sells its TV and media rights for $800 million a year.

The Guinness world record for the The longest non-stop ocean voyage in a flats boat was 1,245.63 km (774 miles) and was set by Ralph and Robert Brown (USA) who travelled from St. Georges, Bermuda to New York Harbor, USA.

The Volvo Ocean Race is a nine month sail boat race around the world that takes place every three years. It stops in eleven ports while racing around the world. Two million four hundred thousand people come out in person to the race villages to watch the local races with an average of more than 200,000 per location. That is more than twice the attendance at our football games. Americans like speed. If they made it power boats, instead of sail boats and raced around the world every year instead of every three years it would be even more popular. If they had territorial rivalries such as city against city like we have with the NFL or country against country like the Olympics it would make it even more popular.

Cup Royale is such a race around the world. Instead of city against city, it is country against country. The Cup Royale is the first ever, first annual powerboat race around the world, structured similar to a combination of the Volvo Ocean Race and Formula One Racing.

Nonstop racing around the world would be dangerous and boring. It would not make good live TV. That is why the Cup Royale is broken down into 30 smaller races, 15 ocean races and 15 harbor races. It is a four and a half month race with only one team per country. It is being structured to create a massive international TV audience. When you watch an NFL game you get both a pre-game show and the actual game. In the pre-game show they recount the last week’s events and then they have the game. Our pre-race show is about the ocean races and the live show is the harbor races.

Longest Unescorted oceanic crossing in flats boat
Smallest Power Boat to Cross The Atlantic

How the Cup Royale came about.

Ralph Brown and his two boys were out boating with a friend, Larry, and his boys. They hit a rock and broke the motor. About that same time, Ralph’s wife was in a car accident and was disabled. Ralph’s employer, Benco Insurance Planners, Blue Cross Blue Shield moved Ralph’s territory to Orlando, a two hour drive away. Rather than take a hotel room, Ralph drove home every night so that he could see his kids grow up. It was during those four hours in a car every day that Ralph dreamed about designing a boat that would be able to go over the top of those rocks and still remain seaworthy on the high seas. Ralph has a strong background in math and science.

Over a period of time, Ralph became consumed with this idea. After family members started complaining to Anne; that you cannot talk to Ralph about anything else, Ralph’s wife Anne threw down the challenge, ‘Either do it or shut up’. She thought Ralph was going to shut up. He was an insurance, tax, and financial planner, not a boat builder.

The big deal was to develop a boat that could run in both super shallow water and to remain seaworthy on the high seas. Generally boats that are safe in a storm cannot operate in shallow water and boats that can run in shallow water tip over and sink in big waves. Ralph Brown and Marin Savov developed a boat that does both quite well. It set world records actually crossing the ocean in a boat that could run in three inches of water.

It was while testing for the smaller boats that Ralph Brown and Marin Savov ran across an idea that would save fuel in larger faster boats. They tested the idea on a Dream Surfer 230. It worked great. The Dream Surfer 230 was not a stream lined boat to begin with so speed improvement was not difficult. So then they built an extremely stream lined test boat using standard technology. Weighed it and tested it. Then they modified it to the newer hull technology. Weighed it and tested it multiple times. It worked better than they dreamed.

He planned to demonstrate the hull design by being the first power boat to beat the sail boat records for going around the world. The sail boat record for circumnavigation is 41 days while the power boat record is 61 days. Many are surprised to discover that sail boats are much faster at circumnavigation. It is all about the fuel economy, the weight of the fuel and having to stop and get more. However, they had learned that the money is not in the boat building. It is in the entertainment and media rights. It was from that idea that the idea for the race around the world developed. The Cup Royale was born.

  • Static Hydro Energy

    Static Hydro Energy

    Static Hydro Energy

My entire life I believed, for some reason or another, that secrets of the universe were contained in a single drop of water. Today I learned about Static Hydro Energy and now feel we just opened Pandora’s box.

I once thought that all the energy that is everywhere is in a single drop of water and that if mankind were to look within a single of drop of water and ask the right questions, it might be revealed, that everything there was to know about everything, was there.

Some Irish genius was looking at water as a means of making electricity and he must have been asking the right questions because he, or they, (presuming it’s a team of engineers) kept asking the right questions.

How to reinvent the use of plain old water, to generate energy?

The system uses the weight of water, rather than wave or tidal motion, to power turbines by submerging them in a tank of water of sufficient depth. The method of evacuating the spent water, after it has transferred energy to the turbines, is unique and novel, and forms the kernel of this patented application.

Static Hydro Energy, through its PowerStar Project, is developing a water-based Renewable Energy machine, not dependent on tidal flow or wave motion. The technology uses gravity to drive a water ram over submerged turbines, generating electricity in the process. It then redistributes the spent water back into the system, using compressed air as a power medium.

This compressed air is manufactured by using some of the electricity which the process generates, enabling the machine to operate in a plethora of off Grid deployments. The efficiency of the system can be further boosted by utilizing waste compressed air, a costly and abundant by-product of large-scale manufacturing and assembly processes.

By employing our Compressed Air Power Optimization (CAPO) system as a bolt-on technology, many companies dependent on the use of compressed air will be in a position to recoup some or all of their energy costs. Our revolutionary system is a novel and innovative form of renewable energy for several reasons.

  • Peace Revolution of Love

    Peace Revolution of Love

    Peace Revolution of Love

A Course in Miracles has had such a profound effect on me that I decided to create my own ministry. I want everyone to learn about the Foundation for Inner Peace and how life-altering it is to know about Miracles.

Miracles are everywhere and happen in ways we have no understanding of, so all we need to learn is how to make miracles happen. Who makes them, happen and why.

Peace Revolution is the co-creation with my brother Marcos, as he planted this seed in my mind many years ago and we promised each other that it would be done. Release Marcos collection called Peace Revolution.

By helping Marco we are all helping each other, since he has an enormous amount of love he needs to unleash on the world. See, Marcos is a singer, songwriter and guitar virtuoso, extraordinaire.

As for myself, I’d been seeking my own calling. Prompted by the Prayer of Jabez, which reads like this:

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.’ So God granted him what he requested.”

Old Testament passage 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Laughing out loud, that my territory was increased to include a Ministry. So, I began teaching A Course in Miracles to others. The extra work is done with love, as it was my inner voice that told me to get started.

Ever since the first word on PeaceRevolution.love the next just seems to follow and a voice emerges from within me. I am driven to tell others about peace and how easy it is to obtain.

If one person were to win the same level of personal contentment that I’ve been able to gain, then my Peace Revolution of Love ministry was worth the effort.

Today my story is all about the imagination and how to find that spark. found both of these two photos in the search term “bursting”. I’ve been so inspired lately and such incredible things have fallen into alignment, the circumstances of my life find me in the most amazing moment. Ignition!

By good old hard work and constant persistence, if one project went sour there were three more on the simmer. A few of my deals have been on the burner for years and involved expensive reconnaissance and several false-starts, as well as unplanned legal fees.

So the story begins over a year ago when I meet a man seeking half a billion dollars to build indoor vertical gardening. It seemed like a reasonable idea to me so a passed the project forward to a consultant for a China construction company, they call it ‘modern gardening’ and said yes, sure we’ll be your partners, under a few conditions. For example the labour can come from local but the engineering and procurement of steel and heavy industrial parts and power grid components must come from China.

Turns out that engineers from China have already constructed every type of vertical garden, or aquaculture farm, with luxury hotels even, build over top of protected reefs. There’s a new revolution in eco construction where the engineers are beginning to understand how to reduce impact of development and still re-claim giant swaths of land from the swamps of mangroves or even from the sea.

    burst

Finally the minds of man are catching on to how to have luxury comfort and service of urban living, while preserving the natural beauty and not destroying the environment to achieve the a mix of multi-use, multi-function and most importantly grown food and host green area in as much space as possible.

An industry blooming to refurb white-elephant shopping malls into Agriplex Gro-Malls to raise fish and grow food

The malls of the future will become hi-tech grow-ops where everything you can think of to eat will be grown under the same roof, or sourced within local proximity. The blending of hi-tech and IoT will manifest new mix of vertical-farming and consumer interaction in a new mall type of a setting. The mall of the future is happening.

it all started with a spark of an idea, added to another and then another, then refined by teams of experts in a dozen different departments of an enormous connected, hence plex, multi-functional, indoor agriculture systems embedded into the building providing interactive, personalized entertainment and social interactions. Just like the Jetson’s except no flying cars.

Lions Gate Self-Sovereign Club was launched today, so far over 60 people have visited the new site, in less than 12 hours and about 10% have signed up for the newsletter. A strategic target was met, in that all the social media accounts and user names were obtained and 8/8 was an ideal date to set-sail.

I posted the first blog article on the new Lions Gate website, based on the key reason I ever embarked on the Lions gate idea, was from President Xi of China cutting the ribbon on the largest construction project in history and saying that the bridge and tunnel connecting Hong Kong and Macao to the mainland of China was like a string of pearls being connected.

So many people are going to want the second system, now that they see the rich enjoying it so much. This is an amazing opportunity, to help people obtain their Self-Sovereign Identity so t hey can enjoy life in the west.

He suggested that there would be only one China, but distinct Chinese regions such as Hong Kong and Macau could retain their own economic and administrative systems, while the rest of the PRC (or simply “China”) uses the socialism with Chinese characteristics system. Under the principle, each of the two regions could continue to have its own governmental system, legal, economic and financial affairs, including trade relations with foreign countries.

Starting from Naturalistic healing, graduating into deeply spiritual motivational healing, from which he created Transphenomenal Breathwork.

The 4 Wisdoms includes two books, one is Nicolas true life story, which is jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring, as well as fun and entertaining but primarily it’s a expose of how and why Dr Nic (we call him) became Dr Nic, and why. The second book is the 4 Wisdoms – Guide.

Here’s an excerpt from 4 Wisdoms

    • The word is an invisible force
    • Your word is a measure of who you want  to be
    • Your inner emotional state exudes through words
    • Words are possessed with either Honest spirit or Corrupt spirit

You create your own world with your own words

The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
