Port Alberni Transshipment Hub (PATH) project is great for Vancouver as it would remove all ships from Vancouver harbour would be free of eyesores, plus the land in the port of downtown in the city. Clean of docks and cranes, ready to build to the seashore with a view of the mountains across the inlet. The solution is to move the container port to Port Alberni.
Port Alberni Transshipment Hub (PATH)
FINAL REPORT|Port Alberni Trans-Shipment Hub (PATH) Feasibility Study Executive Summary The Port Alberni Port Authority (PAPA) has identified an opportunity to develop a container trans-shipment hub to serve markets on the Canadian West Coast, including along the Fraser River, along the North West United States (together the Pacific North West, or PNW), and from there, further inland, including the US Mid-West.
The project, referred to as the Port Alberni Trans-Shipment Hub (PATH), is premised on a hub-and-spoke container trans-shipment operation concept. The PATH concept envisages a terminal of 400 acres with an annual capacity of 3.5 million TEUs (hub). From PATH, coastal ports and terminals would primarily be served by feeder barge service (spokes). The PATH project could be operational by 2022.
The rationale for the PATH project is predicated primarily on the following:
The PATH facility could accommodate Ultra-Large Container Ships (ULCS) with capacities of over 10,000+ TEUs. Competing ports in the PNW, including Vancouver, Seattle and Tacoma, are also expected to be capable of handling ULCS swith future equipment investment, though the PATH facility could potentially be an early mover in accommodating ULCSs.
Automation of terminal activities, with crane capabilities of 40 to 45 container moves per hour as contemplated at PATH, can lead to significant productivity, efficiency and associated cost advantages relative to competing terminals in the PNW, which are currently not automated. Being the first automated terminal in the PNW could provide PATH with a relative advantage in receiving ULCSs, specifically, since these ships tend to call at terminals with efficient unloading/loading operations.
Port Alberni is closer to Asia compared to Vancouver, Seattle and Tacoma. The PATH concept could allow an efficient in and out to ocean ships in a single PNW call (full unload/load, for dedicated PNW services),avoiding the deviations and navigation time between ports to load and unload, and allowing the ocean ships to quickly make the trip back and forth to and from Asia. These advantages could potentially extent to ships sailing onward to Pacific South West (PSW) ports.
The feeder barge and/or short sea shipping (SSS) operations serving PATH could spread regional container handling capacity over a large number of coastal and inland terminals along the Fraser River and reducehinterlandcongestion, particularly by avoiding, reducing and spreading truck transportation (drayage) in the BC Lower Mainland. This could in turn go some way in mitigating negative externalities associated with congestion in the region.
The PATH project can also be viewed as a potentially lower cost option to investing in new container terminal capacity in BC’s Lower Mainland (at Robert’s Bank Terminal 2), or as a longer term option for increasing the capacity of the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor, once new terminal capacity in the BC Lower Mainland becomes fully utilized.
The PATH facility could also provide greater resiliency for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor, by providing an additional facility capable of handling co
Idea wise Invest Offshore was over a target from day one, although sovereignty was not the primary driver, for most of it’s lifespan the offshore was about tax advantage. The very first thought that came to my mind about the Internet and reason I dedicated my life to web design and development was to expand myself beyond the location I was in at the time. I thought every one would invest offshore.
The Information Age was described in books I was reading in the 90’s so I went looking for one of the key books, something about future trends and I came across the 1999 Sovereign Identity book that started this genre, where I feel compelled to participate in the Internet, since I think most people have not taken advantage of the ideas, largely as result of the demise of the fiat currency systems.
Freedom of information is now the threat to sovereignty and our adversary has vast resources to spend on aggregating data for profiling the population and tracking movement of money, therefore we need to align ourselves with multiple governments in order to serve our own best interests.
Here’s the overview of the book, written in 1999, same year SiliconPalms.com was incorporated in Florida.
The Sovereign Individual: Mastering the Transition to the Information Age
n The Sovereign Individual, Davidson and Rees-Mogg explore the greatest economic and political transition in centuries — the shift from an industrial to an information-based society. This transition, which they have termed “the fourth stage of human society,” will liberate individuals as never before, irrevocably altering the power of government. This outstanding book will replace false hopes and fictions with new understanding and clarified values.
Davidson and Rees-Mogg
Sovereignty as a Product is still where my focus is at, despite how capitalistic that may sound, I leave it to the individual to be ethical as possible but encourage all people to strive for your place in the sun and for many of us, it is not just one country, or maybe not even two. It’s wherever.
Just because I declare I want to sell Sovereignty as a Product, doesn’t mean I have license to begun bottling hopium there’s nobody buying, the only way to benefit from this field of knowledge, even if you were to master it, would be to provide bespoke sovereign identity consulting services.
In order to be masterful, a niche needs to be discovered. An identifiable financial problem involving a border and two countries, and one enterprise attempting to grow it’s footprint in one or both jurisdictions. Going global to use the well-known expression, that’s the niche target market and the solution is overseas retirement planning, using recognized pension laws, in order to build your company on a foundation designed to outlast you.
Serious Asset protection is the bedrock of estate planning for your beneficiaries and dependants continued well-being ad infinitum.
Sovereignty is how you protect both yourself and your enterprise from either causing a problem for the other. In legal terms you corporatize yourself and your assets inside a pension structure, designed to provide you and company members a retirement pension. This is not some tax loophole or tax dodge, not at all, the exact opposite, this is done with full intention of exploiting a factual, legal basis for needing an overseas retirement plan.
Sovereignty comes from using more than one countries laws, in complete compliance with another country, then putting yourself inside of legal accord that fits the future of your life strategy. This is like serial entrepreneur meets, cyber nomad then add a dash of legal panache.
We can reclaim our planet’s Sovereignty, one person at a time.
Vancouver Island, with Lasqueti Island circled in red.
Randomly wandering the Internet one fine Saturday morning, while living on Lost Lagoon. I was thinking about life after Vancouver and where to find a cabin in the woods. Think and ye shall seek, behold… I learn of an island community of off-grid libertarians, no political connection to that U.S. party but also no connection to B.C. Hydro (the power grid).
Growing up in British Columbia I was always searching for that special place where I could envision one day finding a place to exist among, in my mind the area of Atlan is very compelling and attractive but it’s too remote, too cold in the winter and maybe a little too tough of a lifestyle, little too off-grid, so I started thinking about what was closest to Vancouver and yet remote enough to be the best of both close to the city and far away.
Without an editorial calendar or an intention for the voice of this blog, I’m just posting things that are interesting to me, that I want to swing back to in the future and add more content, improve this fill content and replace it with more meaningful dialog. I’m using this blog as a form of self-expression as I continue my self-analysis.
Lasqueti Island, British Columbia is now on my radar and before today I had never heard of it but already I learn that there is a non-caqr ferry that goes there and I see that there are roads on the Island, since there’s a Post Office, Pub and community Jetty, so that indicates I could ride my mountain bike there and it’s time for me to make an excusrion, so I think I just found a new destination for a bucket list that I don’t have _ make’em up as I go.
Lasqueti Island was named in 1791 by Spanish Naval officer José María Narváez, commander of the Santa Saturnina.
The island community is an enclave of Canadian counter-culture. Lasqueti Island is one of the least developed of the major Gulf Islands. Its roads are mostly unpaved, and it is the only one of the larger Gulf Islands that is not currently connected to BC Hydro‘s electrical power grid. Solar, wind, micro-hydro, and fossil fueledgenerators power the island.
The ferry from Vancouver Island to Lasqueti Island, Centurion VII, coming into False Bay.
There is a hotel and a restaurant in False Bay, where the ferry arrives and departs. There are at least three B&B’s on the island, but services are seasonal and very limited. Potable water may be scarce at times, in different places on the island. There are local markets and an informal food cooperative but they operate at odd hours, depending on the season and demand. Lasqueti island has a yearly Arts Festival on Canada Day Weekend, and other activities. These different festivals and informal activities feature local painters, sculptors, poets, fiction writers, and historians. Performing arts, on the Canada Day long-weekend, include: The Bolting Brassicas (marching band), the Lasquirkus (circus), and other activities.
The island has a reputation for sailing and sea kayaking which is considered among some of the finest, but also among the most challenging, in lower British Columbia. Tides and currents may become foreboding without warning – the winter weather down the Strait of Georgia has been responsible for various mariners’ deaths.

Life changes gradually then in an instant flips on a Dime
Just like the procession of the Equinoxes our soul is similar to a planet travelling an ecliptic cycle that ends up where it began, back to one with God.
The precession of the equinoxes refers to the observable phenomena of the rotation of the heavens, a cycle which spans a period of (approximately) 25,920 years, over which time the constellations appear to slowly rotate around the earth, taking turns at rising behind the rising sun on the vernal equinox.
As the weather warms in spring we reduce the layers of clothing we wear in the winter, until we reach one or none, to be perfectly comfortable in our natural environment. Our soul adapts to change and evolves in our lifetime, towards a day in the sun at the beach, metaphorically speaking. That time of perfect peace and grace.
We each know, in the fabric of our soul, when we are truly happy, every soul’s perfect “day at the beach” is a different scenario and different set of circumstances, which has it’s own equinox. An equinox is commonly regarded as the instant of time when the plane of Earth’s equator passes through the center of the Sun.
Systematically observing the sunrise, people discovered that it occurs between two extreme locations at the horizon and eventually noted the midpoint between the two. Later it was realized that this happens on a day when the durations of the day and the night are practically equal and the word “equinox” comes from Latin Aequus, meaning “equal”, and Nox, meaning “night”.
The equinox of the soul is a state of mind, an understanding of Self, like a realization or an awakening. For some it comes in an instant. No two planets are on the same orbit, as no two souls are on the same path to enlightenment. Once we know that Chaos is not real, that there is an order to everything and a divine cycle for every soul.
In reality, each and every one of us is exactly where we are meant to be, for each and every soul has a date with destiny and we all continue to orbit infinitely, simultaneously, around each other. Each and every soul has it’s own gravitational field and it’s own energy, frequency and vibration.
There’s nothing we can do to change astro-mechanics, we’ve been shown the great sign in the sky and those of us who have studied this phenomena, understand that there next comes another planetary alignment, this time with major gravitational changes for our earth. The Bible describes this time as the Great Tribulation
Nothing can change astro mechanics, which may explain why the sign in the sky is mentioned over 100 times in the new testament. The sign itself, which took place on September 23, 2017 is possibly as loud and clear as any astronomical event could ever be. You can ignore the facts as most have done but that won’t change the truth.
I am suggesting here, that we each embrace this opportunity, to be witness to the greatest celestial event in all of human history. We are participants.
The individual spirit of each soul has a choice about how they want to address the implications of this knowledge. It’s now time to seek a day at the beach, so to speak and find that place in yourself, inside your own personal universe, to slow down the rotation, look deeply into to the core of your beliefs and ask God to reveal to you, who you are and what to do.
Ascension begins with knowing that you are not your body, where it ends (in theory) is that the body would no longer be involved and may be an impediment for some, which brings us to the point of this short guide.
What do we know about ascension?
Science points at the Schumann Resonances but there’s also climate change that we now know is not man-made, or it wouldn’t also be happening on the other planets in the solar system, massive changes more sever than earth are being experienced by the other planets, while ours shows signs of stress and obvious decay, blight even, from mankind but the reality is that something astronomical is taking place.
So we agree that something astronomical is happening to mother earth and she’s taking us with her (or not), would be left to fate, science or nature and in the end it’s a combination of all three. However, there’s something more to learn, and that is, that we know more about the possibilities of higher dimensions and power of collective consciousness, every day.
Winfried Schumann was born in Tübingen, Germany, the son of a physical chemist. His early years were spent in Kassel and in Berndorf, a town near Vienna. He majored in electrical engineering at the Technical College in Karlsruhe. In 1912 he gained a doctorate with high-voltage technology as his thesis.
During 1920, he was made a professor at the Technical University in Stuttgart, where he had previously been employed as a research assistant. He subsequently took a position as professor of physics at the University of Jena. In 1924, he was made professor and director of the Electrophysical Laboratory at the Technical University of Munich.
Brought to America under Operation Paperclip. During 1947–1948 he worked at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, USA and then returned to his post in Munich.
The Munich laboratory subsequently became the Electrophysical
Institute, where Schumann continued working until retiring from active
research in 1961 at the age of 73, though he continued teaching for a
further two years.
Winfried Otto Schumann, the scientist for whom the measurement system for extremely low frequency (ELF) wavelengths; the Shumann Resonances was named after, was a contemporary of the great Nicola Tesla.
The Integratron is the fusion of Art, Science and Magic
Perhaps the best case to study is when the Integratron was built. The Integratron is located in Landers, California, 20 miles north of Joshua Tree National Park. Its creator, George Van Tassel (1910-1978), claimed that the structure is based on the design of Moses’ Tabernacle, the writings of Nikola Tesla and telepathic directions from extraterrestrials. This one-of-a-kind 38-foot high, 55-foot diameter, all wood dome was designed to be an electrostatic generator for the purpose of rejuvenation and time travel.
Nikola Tesla
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
Nikola Tesla
All the we really know, is that there’s allot more that we don’t know, about ascension and for that matter; matter, energy, time, space, gravity and astrophysics. The best we can do is come up with measurements for things we don’t understand. So often it’s the obvious that is being overlooked but my point is that we are close to understanding ascension.
From my perspective, I felt compelled to metaphorically clean my temple a couple of years ago, so I stopped drinking alcohol and during that time kept a journal of my upgrades to recognize that I was learning more and faster than at any other time in my life, while consuming much less information. My discernment skills improved as the sources of my information sharpened focus, which still includes Drudge Report and Zero Hedge but includes several hours of Youtube daily, less an less input but better and better topics, trying to curtail false flag crimes, hoping the purps will be busted, meanwhile the mission is primarily ascension training.
Naughty Beaver accelerated my learning curve. If you’ve never heard of Naughty Beaver then allow me to introduce you to his videos but I will warn you now that if you watch them enough you will experience a breakthrough in understanding the energy, frequency and vibration of earth today and even if you don’t agree every thing he is saying, your mind will be stretched significantly enough to comprehend deeper concepts.
Ascension training is about temptation, yes that’s right but much more than what you might think, this is the simplicity of knowing the difference between dark and light, deeply and instinctively. The ascended masters became that way from practice of mental conditioning, total mastery is in your own mind, to learn that it’s not actually your mind (alone). Now we have hit the crux of this story, the part where you ask; if I am not my body, and my mind is not actually my mind only, then who, or what, am I?
Ascended master
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Ascended Master Teachings, Ascended Masters are believed to be spiritually enlightened beings who in past incarnations were ordinary humans, but who have undergone a series of spiritual transformations originally called initiations.
Both “Mahatma” and “Ascended Master” are terms used in the Ascended Master Teachings. Ascended Master is based on the theosophical concept of the Mahatma or Masters of the Ancient Wisdom. However, Mahatmas and Ascended Masters are believed by some to differ in certain respects.
According to the Ascended Master Teachings, a “Master”, “Commoner”, “Shaman”, or “Spiritual Master” is a human being who has taken the Fifth Initiation and is thereby capable of dwelling on the 5th dimension. An “Ascended Master” is a human being who has taken the Sixth Initiation, also referred to as Ascension, and is thereby capable of dwelling on the 6th dimension. An “Ascended Master” is a human being who has regained full union with his “Mighty I AM Presence.” When a human being has regained full union with his “Mighty I AM Presence,” that state of full union is referred to as “Ascension.” Technically, a human being “ascends” when he takes the Sixth Initiation, and not before then.
Schumann Resonances are an important science fact that it is not taught widely in school and something I have been aware of in the last couple of years, as I was seeking answers to ringing in the ears. Schumann Resonances is an important natural phenomenon to understand because it has a powerful effect on us humans and animals.

Schumann resonances
The Schumann resonances are a set of spectrum peaks in the extremely low frequency portion of the Earth’s electromagnetic field spectrum. Schumann resonances are global electromagnetic resonances, generated and excited by lightning discharges in the cavity formed by the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere. Wikipedia
Math behind the Science
This global electromagnetic resonance phenomenon is named after physicist Winfried Otto Schumann who predicted it mathematically in 1952. Schumann resonances occur because the space between the surface of the Earth and the conductive ionosphere acts as a closed waveguide. The limited dimensions of the Earth cause this waveguide to act as a resonant cavity for electromagnetic waves in the ELF band. The cavity is naturally excited by electric currents in lightning. Schumann resonances are the principal background in the part of the electromagnetic spectrum from 3 Hz through 60 Hz, and appear as distinct peaks at extremely low frequencies (ELF) around 7.83 Hz (fundamental), 14.3, 20.8, 27.3 and 33.8 Hz.
In the normal mode descriptions of Schumann resonances, the fundamental mode is a standing wave in the Earth–ionosphere cavity with a wavelength equal to the circumference of the Earth. This lowest-frequency (and highest-intensity) mode of the Schumann resonance occurs at a frequency of approximately 4.11 Hz, but this frequency can vary slightly from a variety of factors, such as solar-induced perturbations to the ionosphere, which compresses the upper wall of the closed cavity. The higher resonance modes are spaced at approximately 6.5 Hz intervals, a characteristic attributed to the atmosphere’s spherical geometry. The peaks exhibit a spectral width of approximately 20% on account of the damping of the respective modes in the dissipative cavity. The 8th partial lies at approximately 60 Hz.

Those who succeed owe their success to perseverance. The degree of freedom from unwanted thoughts and the degree of concentration on a single thought are the measures to gauge spiritual progress.
Ramana Maharshi
Ramana Maharshi (30 December 1879 – 14 April 1950) was an Indian sage and jivanmukta. He was born as Venkataraman Iyer, but is most commonly known by the name Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
The earliest known photo of the Indian sage Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. Taken in 1902, the photo shows Ramana Maharshi aged twenty-two on Arunachala hill, Tiruvannamalai, South India.
He was born in what is now Tiruchuli, Tamil Nadu, India. In 1895, an attraction to the sacred hill Arunachala and the 63 Nayanars was aroused in him, and in 1896, at the age of 16, he had a “death-experience” where he became aware of a “current” or “force” (avesam) which he recognised as his true “I” or “self”, and which he later identified with “the personal God, or Iswara“, that is, Shiva. This resulted in a state that he later described as “the state of mind of Iswara or the jnani”, Six weeks later he left his uncle’s home in Madurai, and journeyed to the holy mountain Arunachala, in Tiruvannamalai, where he took on the role of a sannyasin (though not formally initiated), and remained for the rest of his life.
He soon attracted devotees who regarded him as an avatar and came to him for darshan (“the sight of God”), and in later years an ashram grew up around him, where visitors received upadesa (“spiritual instruction”) by sitting silently in his company asking questions. Since the 1930s his teachings have been popularized in the West, resulting in his worldwide recognition as an enlightened being.
Ramana Maharshi approved a number of paths and practices, but recommended self-enquiry as the principal means to remove ignorance and abide in Self-awareness, together with bhakti (devotion) or surrender to the Self.
Spiritual instruction
Ramana Maharshi provided upadeśa (“spiritual instruction”), by providing darshan and sitting silently together with devotees and visitors, but also by answering the questions and concerns raised by those who sought him out. Many of these question-and-answer sessions have been transcribed and published by devotees, some of which have been edited by Ramana Maharshi himself. A few texts have been published which were written by Ramana Maharshi himself, or written down on his behalf and edited by him.
Ramana Maharshi also provided an example by his own devotion to
Shiva, which has been extensively described by his devotees, such as
walks around the holy hill Arunachala, in which devotees participated,
and his hymns to Arunachala.
Self
Ramana Maharshi described his Self as a “force” or “current”, which
descended on him in his death-experience, and continued throughout his
life:
… a force or current, a centre of energy playing on the body, continuing regardless of the rigidity or activity of the body, though existing in connection with it. It was that current, force or centre that constituted my Self, that kept me acting and moving, but this was the first time I came to know it […] I had no idea at that time of the identity of that current with the personal God, or Iswara as I used to call him […] I was only feeling that everything was being done by the current and not by me […] This current, or avesam, now felt as if it was my Self, not a superimposition […] That avesam continues right up to now.
Ramana used various terms to denote this Self. The most frequently used terms were sat-chit-ananda, which translates into English as “being-consciousness-bliss”, God, Brahman and Siva, and the Heart, which is not to be confused with the physical heart, or a particular point in space, but was rather to indicate that “the Self was the source from which all appearances manifested”.
According to David Godman, the essence of Ramana Maharshi’s teachings is that the “Self” or real “I” is a “non-personal, all-inclusive awareness”:
The real Self or real ‘I’ is, contrary to perceptible experience, not an experience of individuality but a non-personal, all-inclusive awareness. It is not to be confused with the individual self which (Ramana) said was essentially non-existent, being a fabrication of the mind, which obscures the true experience of the real Self. He maintained that the real Self is always present and always experienced but he emphasized that one is only consciously aware of it as it really is when the self-limiting tendencies of the mind have ceased. Permanent and continuous Self-awareness is known as Self-realization.
Ramana considered the Self to be permanent and enduring, surviving physical death. “The sleep, dream and waking states are mere phenomena appearing on the Self,” as is the “I”-thought. Our “true nature” is “simple Being, free from thoughts”.
Ramana would field many questions about jnanis (“liberated beings”) from devotees, but even the terms jnani and ajnani (non-liberated being) are incorrect, since it leads one to the idea of there being a knower and a known, a subject and an object. The truth of it according to Ramana Maharshi is that there are neither jnanis nor ajnanis, there is simply jnana, which is Self.
The jnani sees no one as an ajnani. All are only jnanis in his sight. In the ignorant state one superimposes one’s ignorance on a jnani and mistakes him for a doer. In the state of jnana, the jnani sees nothing separate from the Self. The Self is all shining and only pure jnana.
Silence
Ramana’s main means of instruction to his devotees in order to remove ignorance and abide in Self-awareness was through silentlysitting together with his visitors, using words only sparingly. His method of instruction has been compared to Dakshinamurti – Shiva in the ascetic appearance of the Guru, who teaches through silence:
One evening, devotees asked Sri Ramana to explain the meaning of Shankara’s hymn in praise of Dakshinamurti. They waited for his answer, but in vain. The Maharishi sat motionless on his seat, in total silence.
Commenting upon this silence Ramana said:
Silence is the true upadesa. It is the perfect upadesa. It is suited only for the most advanced seeker. The others are unable to draw full inspiration from it. Therefore, they require words to explain the truth. But truth is beyond words; it does not warrant explanation. All that is possible is to indicate It. How is that to be done?
Self-enquiry
Vichara, “Self-enquiry“, also called ātma–vichār or jnana-vichara, is the constant attention to the inner awareness of “I” or “I am”. Ramana Maharshi frequently recommended it as the most efficient and direct way of realizing Self-awareness, in response to questions on self-liberation and the classic texts on Yoga and Vedanta.
According to Ramana Maharshi, the I-thought[ is the sense of individuality: “(Aham, aham) ‘I-I’ is the Self; (Aham idam) “I am this” or “I am that” is the ego.” By paying attention to the ‘I’-thought, inquiring where it comes from, the ‘I’-thought will disappear and the “shining forth” (sphurana) of “I-I” or Self-awareness will appear. This results in an “effortless awareness of being”, and by staying with it this “I-I” gradually destroys the vasanas “which cause the ‘I’-thought to rise”. When the vasanas disappear, the mind, vritti, also comes to rest, since it centers around the ‘I’-thought, and finally the ‘I’-thought never rises again, which is Self-realization or liberation:
If one remains still without leaving it, even the sphurana – having completely annihilated the sense of the individuality, the form of the ego, ‘I am the body’ – will itself in the end subside, just like the flame that catches the camphor. This alone is said to be liberation by great ones and scriptures. (The Mountain Path, 1982, p. 98).
The Entrance of Sri Ramanasramam
Robert Forman notes that Ramana Maharshi made a distinction between samadhi and sahaja samadhi. Samadhi is a contemplative state, which is temporary, while in sahaja samadhi a “silent state” is maintained while engaged in daily activities. Ramana Maharshi himself stated repeatedly that samadhi only suppresses the vāsanās, the karmic impressions, but does not destroy them. Only by abiding in Self-awareness will the vāsanās, which create the sense of a separate self, be destroyed, and sahaja samadhi be attained.
Bhakti
Although he advocated self-enquiry as the fastest means to realisation, he also recommended the path of bhakti and self-surrender (to one’s deity or guru) either concurrently or as an adequate alternative, which would ultimately converge with the path of self-enquiry.
Surrender has to be complete and desireless, without any expectations of solutions or rewards, or even liberation. It is a willingness to accept whatever happens. Surrender is not the willful act of an individual self, but the growing awareness that there is no individual self to surrender. Practice is aimed at the removal of ignorance, not at the attainment of realisation.
Bhagavan: There are only two ways to conquer destiny or to be independent of it. One is to inquire whose this destiny is and discover that only the ego is bound by it and not the Self and that the ego is non-existent. The other way is to kill the ego by completely surrendering to the Lord, realizing one’s helplessness and saying all the time: “Not I, but Thou, oh Lord,” giving up all sense of “I” and “mine” and leaving it to the Lord to do what He likes with you. Surrender can never be regarded as complete so long as the devotee wants this or that from the Lord. True surrender is the love of God for the sake of love and nothing else, not even for the sake of salvation. In other words, complete effacement of the ego is necessary to conquer destiny, whether you achieve this effacement through Self-inquiry or through bhakti-marga.
Sri Ramana Maharshi Mahanirvana in Ramanasramam
Reincarnation
According to David Godman, Ramana Maharshi taught that the idea of reincarnation is based on wrong ideas about the individual self as being real. Ramana Maharshi would sometimes say that rebirth does exist, to step forward to those who were not able to fully grasp the non-reality of the individual self. But when this illusoriness is realised, there is no room any more for ideas about reincarnation. When the identification with the body stops, any notions about death and rebirth become inapplicable, since there is no birth or death within Self. Ramana Maharshi:
Reincarnation exists only so long
as there is ignorance. There is really no reincarnation at all, either
now or before. Nor will there be any hereafter. This is the truth
The Canucks Demise was the name of a book I once thought I would write, except it had a happy ending, now it’s changed names, since I ended-up in the West End of Vancouver, living on Lagoon Drive, so I consider that I washed up on Lost Lagoon, as it seems natural Silicon Palms to make new roots, as coconuts as that may sound.
I’m not the only unique bird to land on Lost Lagoon, just the other day a Trumpeter Swan decided to drop-in on his/her way to Alaska for mating season. The weather in BC is ideal in March for a stop-over on the way north. Once upon a time there were Swans on Lost Lagoon with their wings clipped but the were removed, so today it was a pleasant surprise and a visual oddity to see the great white bird floating about the small lake.
Plate 406 of the Birds of America by John James Audubon, depicting the trumpeter swan
The trumpeter swan (Cygnus buccinator) is a species of swan found in North America. The heaviest living bird native to North America, it is also the largest extant species of waterfowl with a wingspan that may exceed 10 ft (3.0 m). It is the American counterpart and a close relative of the whooper swan (Cygnus cygnus) of Eurasia, and even has been considered the same species by some authorities. By 1933, fewer than 70 wild trumpeters were known to exist, and extinction seemed imminent, until aerial surveys discovered a Pacific population of several thousand trumpeters around Alaska’s Copper River. Careful reintroductions by wildlife agencies and the Trumpeter Swan Society gradually restored the North American wild population to over 46,000 birds by 2010.
Although a little long at 46 minutes, here’s a good documentary about Vancouver from 2013, in which the city is presented neighbourhood by neighbourhood (with maps), explains the city history, shows Stanley Park and Lost Lagoon, also nice footage from the park.

National Building Code of Canada, the Ontario and the Alberta Building Codes,
etc.
In the case of Alberta, all homes must meet the Alberta Building Code and therefore, the A277 Standard. Whenever a home is constructed in a manufacturing facility for placement in Alberta, it must be confirmed for compliance to the Alberta Building Code by labels in each home Certifying compliance under the CSA A277 Standard and Alberta Municipal Affairs.
North Carolina Opportunity
Demand for disaster recovery homes in North Carolina has escalated due to hurricane damage and loss, so Red Earth Consultants created an Alliance with a U.S. team seeking modular homes and a Government Approved strategy, to include two home types, modelled for disaster recovery, a workforce home (2 bedroom Bungalow) and an emergency response office on wheels, also known as a “tiny house”.
